I originally started this blog to chronicle my journey to becoming an Ironman in 2010 and continued it after signing up for IMAZ 2012. Now that those are done, I plan on using this forum to share any new endeavors that may come along.

88 Days
Keeping with the number theme, today was my first MTB ride in 88 days. Again, I took it fairly easy on a typical route that I do when I only want to go out for about an hour. I did the, almost 12 mile loop, in 1:04:41. That landed me somewhere in the middle of my fastest time of 56:34 (11/06/2013) and my slowest time of 1:11:00 (11/25/2013). I felt fairly solid throughout, but had to stand on a few uphills that I can normally stay in the saddle on. I did get my 2nd fastest time on a downhill Strava segment though! Now that it is getting light out around 5:15AM, my riding (both road and MTB) should significantly increase. I really want to keep my running gains, so hopefully I'll be able to stick with that a couple of times a week too. Typically, when I start riding more, my running slowly reduces until it is non-existent.
